Professional Qualifications
At South Cheshire College we offer a wide range of recognised professional qualifications to develop your staff and improve your business performance. Some jobs require staff to be professionally qualified. Having staff with these qualifications ensures best practice in their job role, high standards of performance and a motivated workforce.
Foundation Degrees
These are nationally recognised higher education qualifications, and generally take two or three years to complete. Foundation degrees are a dynamic mix of academic and work based learning, making them ideal for those already in work. Part-time and flexible study options mean that these qualifications can be taken in a way which suits work requirements.
Students graduating with a Foundation degree (Fd) have the option to either 'top up' to a Bachelors degree at university, or stop studying as the Foundation degree is a recognised qualification in its own right.
All our Foundation degrees are validated by Universities within the region, primarily Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Chester. This means that if your staff want to continue on to the final year of an honours degree on completion of their Fd, then they can do so locally.
