What's On The Course?

Skills for independence and work. You will work with your group on the following qualifications:
  • Award/Certificate in Personal and Social Development
Certificate in Skills for Independence and work covers:
  • Personal Safety
  • Hygiene in the kitchen
  • Healthy Living
  • Food preparation and cooking
In addition, students will also work on functional skills:
  • Award/Certificate in Maths
  • Award/Certificate in ICT
  • Award/Certificate in English
You have a weekly tutorial with your personal tutor to help you with your learning and personal development.

Who Is It Suitable For?

Entry Level programmes are for students who would like:
1) To develop their functional skills before moving on to a full time Entry Level 3 course
2) Extra help and support settling into college
3) To try out different skill areas.

What Are The Entry Requirements?

No formal entry qualifications are required.

What Can I Do Next?

Students can progress to Entry Level 3 qualifications.
