What's On The Course?

The Award is a knowledge based qualification which would support transition, pre service or early career learning for all support roles in schools.

Topics covered include communication and professional relationship with children, schools as organisations, understanding child and young person development and understanding how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people.

Who Is It Suitable For?

Anyone looking for an introductory qualification as preparation for working in schools. People who have a level 3 in Administration or Catering who are looking for a role in schools. Staff who have been recently appointed to support roles in schools who are new to working in schools.

What Are The Entry Requirements?

GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent and the ability to communicate clearly. Learners will need to attend an interview. All applicants will need CRB clearance before undertaking any work placement or work experience in a school environment.
