EXCELLENCE AND ACHIEVEMENT

Male student at South Cheshire College

Another Outstanding Year in 2011!

South Cheshire College has a longstanding reputation for outstanding education. Our A-Level and Vocational students attain high pass rates each year. We have a single ambition at South Cheshire College - to ensure that all our students maximise their full potential.

In 2011, A-Level students achieved an outstanding pass rate of 99%, for the 5th year in succession.

Our statistics this year are also outstanding:
48 A-Level students achieved 2 or more A*/A grades; overall 204 A-Level students gained the coveted A*, A or B grades. Not only this, but 79% of A2 students achieved high grades A*-C, whilst 77% achieved the top grades A-A*in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which many top universities now include as an integral qualification for entry onto their degree programmes.

In addition, 99% of our Advanced Level Vocational students passed their programme, with record numbers achieving triple Distinction, which is equivalent to 3 A grades at A-Level, meaning that a high percentage of our students not only progressed to university, but to their first choice university!

This year a number of our students will be able to progress to the most prestigious universities: Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, The University of Manchester, The University of Liverpool, Durham University, The University of Leeds, The University of Leicester and other institutions. Amongst tough competition, South Cheshire College students will join the elite of British education, taking up places to read subjects such as Medicine, Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Optometry, Pharmacy, English and Classics.
