South Cheshire College School Liaison Team is committed to working with schools in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire offering a variety of activities to enable pupils to find out about their own future and options available when they leave school. We can also provide information on Higher Education Options at South Cheshire College for years 12 and 13.

The School Liaison Team can come and visit your school to deliver a wide range of sessions to ensure pupils are familiar with what is available to them in order to help them succeed.
We are able to give a short presentation suitable for an assembly that explains to pupils the opportunities offered at South Cheshire College.
The presentation can also be developed into a class based workshop to provide pupils in-depth information about courses, entry requirements, student life and support available. It also gives pupils the opportunity to have all their questions answered and receive advice on completing application forms and the interview process.
The team is also able to provide information and guidance regarding Higher Education options at South Cheshire College for years 12 and 13.
The School Liaison Team are happy to support your school by attending these events and offering information, advice and guidance to pupils and their parents from years 8 through to 11. We can also attend any HE events for years 12 and 13.
A specialist subject tutor can visit school to run a session covering a particular subject area. They can give information and guidance regarding specific course content, career opportunities and progression routes. This can include an interactive workshop.
Our School Liaison Team runs information sessions and taster events for the above to provide support for those offering advice and guidance to pupils in school.
Our School Liaison Team can arrange for pupils to come and visit South Cheshire College and find out more about the campus. This is an opportunity to find out more about the courses on offer and small groups or individuals are welcome to visit and take a tour. This gives pupils the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a student at South Cheshire College. We can arrange for individual visits if required.
If pupils are interested in a particular subject but would like to know more we can arrange for them to get some hands on experience by joining an appropriate class or attending an interactive workshop (taster session). Sessions are dependent on group size and subject area staff availability.
Our open evenings give pupils the chance to discuss course options with tutors, explore the campus and meet our student ambassadors. Careers guidance is available at the events and pupils can find out about the range of support available at college. Latest dates are in the Calendar & Events section.
At South Cheshire College we are happy to accommodate pupils on work experience where we have the capacity. Please go through normal school procedures when requesting placements.
The School Liaison Team are always interested in how we can support the transition from school to college so if you have any suggestions please get in touch.
