South Cheshire College Principal Peter Swift unveils the new college logo as part of the rebranding process
College Launches New Logo At Open Day
College Principal Peter Swift unveiled the new design at the site's main entrance which is being implemented as the College prepares for its new £74 million campus which opens its doors in September.
The new blue and silver logo, which incorporates the crescent shape of the new campus, is being phased in on signage, letterheads and other college literature to completely replace the old logo which has served the college for almost 20 years.
Design agency Grisdale Lesniak Swann have masterminded the new logo design which is already visible on the College website, 2010 prospectus for school leavers and other publications which are currently in the public domain.
Other signage featuring the new logo is also evident across parts of the current campus and will be transferred to the new building later this year.
The new flagship facility will be one of the finest education buildings in the country with state-of-the-art facilities including four cafes, a restaurant and brasserie, high-tech classrooms, a 6 court sports hall and all-weather outdoor pitches.
Peter Swift said: "We are pleased to launch the new corporate identity which will hopefully serve the College for many years to come.
"The new logo is just a small part of the rebranding strategy which we are rolling out as we edge ever closer to moving into our brand new campus later this year.
"The design reflects the modern feel of the new campus and also incorporates the crescent shape of the building."
Mark Whittaker, Marketing Manager at South Cheshire College, said: "The new logo will be implemented across all college literature and publications, both internal and external, in the months ahead.
"The new campus has signalled a change of image for the College and we are confident this new design will become easily recognised amongst staff, students, prospective students and members of the wider community very quickly."
School leavers who are looking to study at South Cheshire College as their next step came along to the open day on Saturday 30th January (10am-2pm).
They were able to sample taster activities, chat to staff and students and take a closer look at the facilities including plans for the new campus.
