The Dane Bank Restaurant

This term's news!

Welcome to another issue of Hospitality News. A big thank-you to all of you who came to the restaurant for either lunch or dinner last term and helped our students gain valuable experience and gave them the chance to practice their skills.

This will be our last term in the current Dane Bank Restaurant and Piano Bar as we prepare to move into a brand new restaurant and brasserie which opens in September. It will be sad to leave the Restaurant and Piano Bar which have served us so well for so many years but we are excited about the future and hope you'll come and visit us in our wonderful new facility.

Please continue to come and dine with us after Easter as the students still need your support.

We appreciate your continued custom and our students enjoy seeing familiar faces. Thanks and best wishes

I'm looking forward to learning in a brand new environment."

Students Do Themselves Proud In Sandbach

The students who served up the meals

Diners in Sandbach experienced a night to remember thanks to students who are training to be the next top chefs of the future. South Cheshire College's Dane Bank Restaurant went out on the road to deliver a delicious gourmet meal at Sandbach Town Hall.

The one-off event attracted a full house and gave students the chance to showcase their cookery and food preparation skills in the wider community. Hospitality student Jillian Bennion also did herself proud and added to the ambience by performing a fantastic range of accompanying music on the piano as guests arrived and dined.

The event was also an opportunity to promote South Cheshire College and its hospitality courses to students in the Sandbach area who are thinking about moving on to college as their next step. Students working towards Professional, Culinary and Service certificates joined Senior Hospitality and Catering lecturer Shane Guildford in the kitchen at the venue to create the modern-styled restaurant menu.
