Monitoring of Student Progress

All students are allocated a Personal Tutor whose role is to support and guide individual students. The programme of weekly group tutorials, for full-time students, also supports their personal development and includes various citizenship, healthy lifestyle and careers education topics. Students also complete work towards a key skill in Improving Own Learning and Performance (IOLP).

Monitoring a student's academic progress, including attendance, is a key element of individual tutorial sessions. Minimum expected grades are initially identified by their course tutor(s) in line with a College-wide target-setting system. Personal tutors will then regularly monitor a student's academic progress.
