Beacon Innovation Pilot Project Funding
Beacon Innovation Pilot Project Funding - South Cheshire College is in receipt of funding which it is using to further enhance its already effective Student Tracker system. This funding is available to the College as it is a Beacon College, or high performing provider. The Student Tracker is an online system that enables personal tutors and students instant access to progress information such as: Attendance, Tutorial records, Student detail, Screening results and learner styles, Academic performance and Individual learning plans

This pilot project will focus on the enhancements and additions required to utilise this application as an effective work based learning tool. Read more.

Colleges Week
Colleges Week 2008 - South Cheshire College hosted a series of events in support of national Colleges Week, a celebration of the role colleges play across the country in unlocking talent in communities and transforming the lives of learners. College staff and students kicked off the week by giving a local community centre a complete transformation while residents were treated to lunch. Key government figures also showed their support by visiting the College to chat to staff and students and the week culminated with art and design students producing one of the longest pieces of artwork ever produced in Cheshire as part of a special 'Skills Challenge.' Upstaged Movie logo
Upstaged - Upstaged is a feature film produced by students at South Cheshire College and captures the imagination of a wide-ranging audience. It stars celebrities including Phil Cool, Alexei Sayle and Clive Mantle and was filmed locally in Crewe.

Following an amazing preview night at Crewe's Lyceum Theatre the film has now been sent to some of the world's major film festivals including Cannes and Edinburgh. www.upstagedmovie.com.
the Kit Car with students Kit Car Project 2004/2005 - Enterprising Motor Vehicle students have built a new Tiger Cat Kit Car from scratch. The group started the project in October 2004 and have been sponsored by local garages to put the high-performance motor together. Read more.
